A Walk to End Hunger
COVID initially caused a 300% increase in the number of people visiting our pantry in Milan. And those numbers have continued to increase. By December of 2021- Aid in Milan saw almost 600 people JUST in December. By comparison- the total number of people who visited the pantry in 2019 was under 1,000.
But it isn't just the number of people visiting that has increased. Prices of food have gone up, while produce and meats have been harder to find than ever. Still, Aid in Milan has continued to serve our neighbors- through summer storms that dropped trees on us, a winter that brought deep snows, all while being impacted by a global pandemic. And please realize, we can't do it without you!

Details of Event:
Dress comfortably- this is a 3 mile walk around town! There will be stops with snacks and water and a place to take a break if needed. We will also have a lot of games and fun activities along the way. This is a family-friend event, and everyone is invited to participate at their own pace. Registration begins at 9:30am in the parking lot of Marble Memorial UMC- rain or shine!
Opening remarks begin at 10:00am, with a walk start at 10:15am.

Seriously. Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring your coworkers, your crew, your pets (on a leash). Just be there to show your support to end hunger in our community!
This walk is accessible for everyone, including a shorter, 1 mile walk for those who would prefer.

This is a 3 mile walk around the town of Milan. We will have several rest stops along the way with water and light snacks.
This is a fundraiser, and we hope that your team raises money. However, there is no requirement to raise money in order to participate in the walk. Everyone is welcome- and encouraged to join the walk.
